They have used the technology to create the Atmospheric Water Harvester - a self-contained, stand-alone system to produce potable water from relatively humid air for disaster relief or for use in remote areas. The Atmospheric Water Harvester is expected to perform best in naturally humid areas such as coastal regions and oceanic islands.
